The Adroit Journal

The Adroit Journal is a registered literary and arts nonprofit organization that was founded in 2010 by poet Peter LaBerge. From its inception, the journal has aimed to showcase what its global staff of emerging writers sees as the future of poetry, prose, and art. At the magazine my content team edits and publishes interviews, essays, and book reviews for every issue. We also curate Adroit‘s blog. Writing from Adroit has been featured in Best American Poetry, the New York Times, The New Yorker, and NPR.
San Francisco Chronicle
Poetry Columnist
The San Francisco Chronicle published my “State Lines” poetry column in the Sunday morning paper from 2017-2019, and focused exclusively on California poets. My goal for the column was to present an array of voices and poetic styles, including work from Victoria Chang, Tongo Eisen-Martin, Brenda Hillman, D.A. Powell, Forrest Gander, Rick Barot, Solmaz Sharif, and Juan Felipe Herrera. The series can still be found at the Chronicle’s website, though most of the columns now reside behind a pay wall.
